Ah Canada !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! you never fail to impress me. A Ram 1500 Express 2WD Hemi exactly as pictured is with current rebates is $21,220 CAD ($18,265 USD) before destination and taxes. Out the door price BEFORE haggling is only $24,076 CAD ($20,724 USD) and it wouldn't be all that impossible to haggle another $1500-$2000 off that price.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
A 395HP V8 for 24K!!! How can you possibly go wrong at that price? If that's not cheap HP I don't know what is.
If you really want to be frugal you can go for the absolute base model(base model in canada gets 395HP Hemi) and save another $1000.00 but you will get 17" steel wheels and unpainted bumpers/grill and you could also have to give up the deep cherry red paint for another $225.00 in savings.

Very seriously considered getting one of these. Unfortunately Chrysler decided to move their production down to Mexico, and I prefer my pickup trucks made in the USA. Hell of a truck though.

Me being Canadian it doesn't really matter to me where it's made. Take the Challenger Hellcat for example it's the most American car ever made, where is it built? That's right Canada.

Indeed, Chrysler still has a big manufacturing footprint in Canada. They also make the caravan there.

The Ram 1500 Quad Cab and Crew Cab are still made in the USA. Regular cab only and all the heavy duties are made in Mexico.

Yup, I wanted the regular cab though... It's OK all the more excuse to do an engine swap on my old truck.

I like playing in the mud, so 4WD is a must for me.
Though if I were buying right now, I'd wait for the Taco and buy something cheap and used for the time being.

Not a bad plan. This is probably the best bang for your buck 4X4 in Canada at the moment
Brand new Ram 1500 SXT quad cab 4x4 Hemi is $27,500 plus taxes and destination. Another steal of a deal if you ask me.

I remember just a few years ago here in the states(okay 11 years ago), you could get a stripped out base model truck for like 13.5k. Times have changed.

Yes they have but also 11 years ago you got a ~190hp V6 no a/c,no cruise,no power windows, ect. although trucks are more expensive now they are definitely better equipped and better to live with everyday.

BUT they are also a lot more expensive to fix.
